VPK Program

The Voluntary Pre-kindergarten Program (VPK) is designed to prepare Florida 's children for kindergarten and develop the skills they need to become good readers and successful students. VPK includes standards for literacy skills, strict accountability, appropriate curricula, substantial instruction periods, manageable class sizes and qualified instructors. Parents have the option of enrolling children in a school-year program that consists of 540 instructional hours, or a summer program, consisting of 300 instructional hours. However we only offer the school year program at this time.

Enrollment in our VPK only program is free from 8:30 am - 11:30 am.  For enrollment schedule options with additional programs please see our Tuition page.
Palma Ceia Academy is a highly rated provider in the Florida VPK Program.  Each VPK provider is evaluated each year and given a readiness rating score from zero to 100.  PCA has achieved a high readiness score since the program started in 2005.  You can look up provider scores at https://vpk.fldoe.org/InfoPages/ReportCriteria.aspx  Please note that the scoring system has changed over the years.
